TEHRAN- A delegation of Swiss business representatives expressed hope to make investment in a wide range of areas in Iran, according to Head of Iran’s Presidential Office Mohammad Nahavandian.

The Swiss delegation, headed by former Swiss ambassador to Iran Livia Leu, visited Iran from April 26 to 29 to explore the potential for trade with the country ahead of a final nuclear deal between Tehran and 5+1 group of countries., the Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The Swiss business representatives visited officials from Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines as well as directors of some Iranian unions and private sector companies, Nahavandian stated.

“We would like to find out how the Iranian government wants to proceed until negotiations are concluded, and after the sanctions are lifted,” the Swissinfo quoted Leu as saying on April 21.

With its vast gas and oil resources and more than 80 million inhabitants, many of whom are well-educated and wealthy, Iran has great economic potential, especially if sanctions are lifted, according to the Swissinfo.
